European Humanities University has been designated an “extremist organization” in Belarus

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office in Minsk, the university is allegedly engaged in “systematic efforts to destabilize the socio-political situation in the country.”

The European Humanities University (EHU) was founded in 1992 in Minsk as an independent institution with European academic standards.

In 2004, Belarusian authorities shut it down, after which it relocated to Lithuania, where it was later re-established as a Lithuanian university in 2006.

🇪🇸 Spanish PM Sanchez’s wife charged with corruption

Begoña Gómez, the wife of Spanish far-left Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, has been formally charged with multiple corruption-related offenses, including influence peddling, business corruption, embezzlement, and misappropriation.

The investigation began in April 2024 following a complaint by the anti-corruption group Manos Limpias, which accused Gómez of using her position to influence public contracts and secure university sponsorships.

A 67-year-old woman with reduced mobility was on the first floor when the fire broke out. She was rescued by firefighters and taken to the hospital.
