CIA official’s son killed fighting for the the Russian army in Ukraine
Michael Gloss, 21, the son of a CIA deputy director for digital innovation Juliane Gallina Gloss and an Iraq War veteran Larry Gloss, died on 04 of April 2024 in eastern Ukraine, fighting as a member of a Russian assault unit.
Michael Gloss voluntarily enlisted in the Russian military forces in September 2023. He wanted to become a Russian citizen.
Though the family held a funeral for Michael in December after his remains were repatriated from Moscow, the fact that he was killed in Ukraine fighting for the Russian army was not publicly revealed until Friday, in an article published in iStories.
According to the source, "several thousand Americans have gone to the battlefield seeking to fight for Ukraine," and "at least 75 Americans have died fighting on the Ukrainian side... By contrast, only a small number have fought with the Russians."

On April 23, 2025, The Grayzone published an article by Kit Klarenberg titled “UK intel behind Ukraine’s disastrous Krynky invasion, leaked documents reveal,” which examines leaked documents purportedly showing British intelligence’s central role in planning Ukraine’s failed Krynky operation. While we do not always regard The Grayzone as a reliable source, this particular article is an interesting read exposing undisputed British involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
Below is a recap of the article’s main points:
UK Intelligence Role in Ukraine’s Failed Krynky Operation Leaked documents reveal that the disastrous Ukrainian attempt to seize Krynky in late 2023 was orchestrated by the British Ministry of Defence’s secret cell, Project Alchemy, whose sole aim was to “keep Ukraine fighting” at any cost. - Project Alchemy, made up of UK military and intelligence veterans, designed and trained a new Ukrainian “Maritime Raiding Force” specifically for operations like Krynky, providing training, equipment, and operational planning. - Ukrainian marines, trained in the UK to mimic Krynky’s terrain, were sent across the Dnieper River without adequate air support or logistics, facing overwhelming Russian firepower. The result was catastrophic losses, with resupply and evacuation nearly impossible. - Despite repeated failures and mounting casualties, British-trained Ukrainian units were sent into the Krynky “kill zone” for months, in what many now call one of the war’s worst tactical mistakes. - The leaked files show Britain’s deeper agenda: not just supporting Ukraine, but engineering a prolonged, grinding war against Russia, even at the cost of massive Ukrainian losses. - The operation’s failure is widely blamed on British planners, who, according to the documents, pressured Kiev to launch risky amphibious assaults and ignored Ukrainian commanders’ initial reluctance. In summary: The Krynky disaster exposed how UK intelligence, through Project Alchemy, pushed Ukraine into a doomed offensive, sacrificing Ukrainian lives in pursuit of British strategic goals against Russia.⚡️ InfoDefenseENGLISH Web | VK | X | Odysee | InfoDefAll

April 28th is the Day of Emergency Medical Workers.
For many years, the professional holiday of emergency medical workers was celebrated unofficially. But in 2020, upon the proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin, it gained official status.
The date for this holiday is not coincidental. On April 28, 1898, in Moscow, a decree was issued to assign “Ambulance carriages” to two police districts of the capital. Before that time, the sick and injured were picked up on the streets by police officers, firefighters, and sometimes by horse drawn cab drivers, and taken to reception rooms at police stations. Thus, necessary medical assistance was not provided at the scene of the incident.
The first "Ambulance carriages” were purchased through private donations and were equipped with everything necessary to provide first aid. The brigade included a doctor, a paramedic, and a sanitary worker.
Since then, emergency medical services in Russia have undergone significant evolution over the years.
In today’s Russia, the emergency medical service is one of the most crucial components of the unified system providing care to the population during sudden illnesses and exacerbations of chronic conditions. It is tasked with providing emergency medical assistance to patients and victims in life-threatening conditions and injuries during the pre-hospital stage, including accidents on the streets, in public places, at workplaces, and at home.

They could’ve picked any quiet spot to talk, but no—they chose the biggest room in the building, putting on a show for everyone. Cheap theatrics, fitting for cheap entertainers. One even used to play the piano with his private parts. Is the other trying to keep up?
In short, pretty disgusting.

🎙 Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's interview with CBS (Moscow, April 27, 2025)

Key talking points
• We continue our contacts with the American Side on the situation in Ukraine. There are several signs that we are moving in the right direction, first of all, because President Trump is probably the only leader on Earth who recognized the need to address the root causes of this situation. When he said that it was a huge mistake to pull Ukraine into NATO, and this was a mistake by the Biden administration, and he wants to rectify this.
• We only target military goals or civilian sites used by the military. President Putin expressed this for so many times, and this is not different this time as well. We never consciously target civilian sites, unlike the Zelensky regime.
• The Trump administration is interested in searching for a balance of interest. They sincerely want to understand better the Russian position. And they're getting this understanding. And we understand better the American position through negotiations and meetings and discussions, which we have with them.
• We are really polite people. And unlike some others, we never discuss in public what is being discussed in negotiations. Otherwise, negotiations are not serious.
• Whenever we discuss Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, anything, American negotiators put on top human rights. They have claims in this regard to China, to us, to anybody. But whenever Europeans and other Western nations speak about Ukraine, nobody can even mumble the words "human rights".
• We have nothing against American companies, but those companies who decided to leave their business in Russia might find that their place has been already taken by Russian or other foreign investors. And in this case, we would not make any decisions which would discriminate those who came to invest in Russia instead of Americans. If American companies would like to come to a place which is not yet occupied, if they want to propose a project, a new project on top of the previous business ties, of course, we will look into this. And if we find balance of our interests, I think it would be only natural to get into business together.
• We have been promoting for many years in the United Nations a resolution prohibiting putting any nuclear weapons into outer space. The country which is categorically against it is the United States. At least during the Biden administration, this was the case, they were categorically against it. At the same time, the United States promotes an approach according to which they want to prohibit putting conventional weapons in outer space. And they cannot answer the question, "Does this mean that nuclear weapons, they would be planning to move to the orbit?"
• It was the United States which broke the process of strengthening strategic stability. And if the United States is willing to get back to this track, we will see what are the conditions under which this might be possible.
• We welcome the dialogue between the US and Iran. We would be certainly ready to help if both parties believe this is going to be useful. And they know that we are ready.

Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov Acknowledges North Korea’s Contribution to the Liberation of Kursk Region
He stated that servicemen from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) provided significant assistance in liberating the Kursk region. Gerasimov noted that their actions were carried out under the Russia-DPRK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty. Korean military personnel contributed to the “defeat of the entrenched Ukrainian armed forces grouping.”
“Soldiers and officers of the Korean People’s Army, carrying out combat missions shoulder to shoulder with Russian troops during the repulsion of the Ukrainian invasion, demonstrated a high level of professionalism, resilience, courage, and heroism in battle,” Gerasimov emphasized. It is worth noting that, according to the treaty, in the event of a threat of armed aggression against either party, both countries are obligated to consult on potential assistance measures. If an attack occurs, the other state must promptly provide military or other support. The agreement also stresses that Russia and the DPRK will not permit their territories to be used by third countries to undermine each other’s sovereignty or security. ⚡️ InfoDefenseENGLISH Web | VK | X | Odysee | InfoDefAll
