" በሲዳማ ክልል፤ ማዕከላዊ ሲዳማ ዞን ሎካ አባያ ወረዳ በሚገኘዉ ሀንጣጤ የመጀመሪያ ደረጃ ሆስፒታል የሚሰሩ የጤና ባለሙያዎች ከ8 ወራት በላይ የትርፍ ሰዓት ክፊያ ባለመከፈሉ ለሎካ አባያ ወረዳ፣ ለማዕከላዊ ሲዳማ ዞንና ለሲዳማ ክልል ጤና ቢሮ በደብዳቤ ካሳወቁ በኋላ የትርፍ ሰዓት ስራ ማቆማቸዉን ለቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ ከዚህ ቀደም ማሳወቃቸው ይታወሳል። በወቅቱ ስለ ጉዳዩ ምላሽና ማብራሪያ የሰጡት የማዕከላዊ ሲዳማ ዞን አስተዳዳሪ አቶ መንግስቱ ማቴዎስ ፥ የሠራተኛዉ ጥያቄ ትክክለኛ መሆኑን ገልፀዉ ክፍያዉ እንዲፈፀም ከክልሉ መንግስት ብድር መጠየቃቸዉንና በቅርቡ እንደሚከፈላቸዉ ገልፀዉ የነበረ ሲሆን " የትርፍ ሰዓት ስራ ማቆም መብታቸዉ ነዉ " ሲሉ ገልጸውም ነበር። ትላንት የሆስፒታሉ ሠራተኞች ለቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ እንደገለፁት " ሁሉም ሰራተኛ በአንድነት ተፈራርሞ ባስገባዉ ደብዳቤ መሰረት ከባለፈዉ ሳምንት ጀምሮ የትርፍ ሰዓት ስራ ብቻ ያቆሙ ቢሆንም የሆስፒታሉን ሜዲካል ዳይሬክር እና 7 የማኔጀመንት አካላትን ጨምሮ 14 የሚሆኑ የሆስፒታሉ ባለሙያዎችን ፖሊስ ከስራ ቦታቸዉ ጭምር ወስዶ አስሯቸዋል " ብለዋል። " ሁሉም ሠራተኛ የትርፍ ሰዓት ስራ ማቆሙ ሰበብ ተደርጎ በመደበኛ ስራዉ ላይ እንከን እንዳይፈለግበትና ላለመከሰስ የስራ ሰዓቱን በአግባቡ እየተጠቀመ ነዉ " የሚሉት ሠራተኞቹ  " ትላንት ጠዋት በድንገት 2 ዶክተሮች፣ 7 ነርሶችንና ሌሎች ባለሙያዎችን 'ትፈለጋላችሁ' በሚል ያለ ፍርድ ቤት መጥሪያ ከነ ጋዎናቸዉ ጭምር ወደ ሀንጣጤ ፖሊስ ጣቢያ አስገብተዋቸዋል " ሲሉ ገልፀዋል። " ሁሉም የሆስፒታሉ ሠራተኞች አንድ ላይ በመሆን ወደ ፖሊስ ጣቢያ ብንሄድም ' ከበላይ አካላት ታዘን ነዉ ' የሚል ምላሽ ነዉ የተሰጠን " ብለዋል። ሠራተኞቹ ቀኑን ሙሉ እዛዉ ለመሆን መወሰናቸዉንና ከአስራ አንድ ሰዓት በኋላ የተወሰኑ አመራሮች ወደ ፖሊስ ጣቢያ የመጡ ቢሆንም የታሰሩት ሳይፈቱ ወደ ' ቤታችሁ ሂዱ ' ተብለው እስኪጨላልም እዛዉ የቀሩ ባለሙያዎች እንደነበሩ አስረድተዋል። " የትርፍ ሰዓት ክፍያ ካልተከፈለን ብለን ስራ አላቆምን " የሚሉት የጤና ባለሙያዎቹ " አይደለም መደበኛ ስራ ለማቆም ምንም ሳይከፈለን በብዙ ችግሮች ዉስጥ ሆነን እራሳችንን እየጎዳን ከ8 ወራት በላይ የትርፍ ሰዓቱን ስራ ጭምር ስንሰራ ቆይተናል ነገሮች ከአቅማችን በላይ ሲሆኑ በደብዳቤ አሳዉቀን የትርፍ ሰዓቱን ስራ ለማቆም ተገደናል " ብለዋል። ሁሉም ሠራተኛ የትርፍ ሰዓት ስራ ባቆመበት ሁኔታ የሆስፒታሉን ሜዲካል ዳይሬክተር ጨምሮ የማኔጅመንት አባላትንና የተወሰኑ ሠራተኞችን ለይቶ የማሰሩ ጉዳይ ተገብነት የሌለው እና የሚመለከታቸዉ አካላት በአፋጣኝ እልባት ሊሰጡበት የሚገባ ጉዳይ ስለመሆኑ ገልጸዋል። " ' ሚዲያ ላይ ስለከሰሳችሁ ሚዲያ የሚከፍላችሁ መስሏችኋል' የሚሉ አመራሮች ነበሩ " ያሉን ቅሬታ አቅራቢዎቹ " ሜዲካል ዳይሬክተሩንና ማኔጅመንቱን ' ለምን ሠራተኛ ታሳምፃላችሁ፣ ከወረዳዉና ከዞኑ መንግስት የሚተላለፍላችሁን መመሪያ ለምን አታስፈፅሙም ' ብለዉ የሚያስፈራሩም ነበሩ " ሲሉ ለቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ አስታዉቀዋል። ቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ ከጉዳዩ ጋር በተያያዘ የከፍተኛ አመራሮችን ምላሽ ለማግኘት ጥረት አድርጓል። ከዚህ ቀደም የማዕከላዊ ሲዳማ ዞን ዋና አስተዳዳሪ አቶ መንግስቱ ማቴዎስ በስልክ መረጃ የሰጡን ቢሆንም አሁን ላይ " ወደ ቦታዉ በአካል ካልመጣችሁ መረጃ መስጠት አልችልም " በማለታቸዉ ሳይሳካ ቀርቷል። ፈቃደኛ ሲሆኑ ምላሻቸዉን የምናካትት ይሆናል። - ቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ ሀዋሳ Via: @tikvahethiopia ➡ Share @Thequorachannel

Occupational hazards of health workers. Health workers face a variety of occupational hazards that can impact their physical and mental well-being. 1. Biological Hazards Deadly viruses like Ebola, Covid 19 -Bloodborne pathogens (HIV, Hepatitis B & C) from needlestick injuries and contact with other body fluids. -Airborne diseases (Tuberculosis, Influenza). Contact infections (MRSA, C. difficile, Norovirus). 2. Chemical hazards

Healthcare workers are exposed to a variety of hazardous chemicals that can cause acute poisoning, chronic illnesses, respiratory issues, or cancer. These chemicals are found in disinfectants, sterilizing agents, anesthetics, chemotherapy drugs, and laboratory reagents.

Common Chemical Hazards in Healthcare A. Disinfectants & Sterilizing Agents

-Formaldehyde – Used for preserving specimens; can cause eye and lung irritation or cancer with long-term exposure.

B. Anesthetic Gases

-Nitrous oxide (N₂O) – Can cause dizziness, nausea, nerve damage, and fertility issues. -Halothane, Isoflurane, -Sevoflurane – Long-term exposure can cause liver and kidney damage.

C. Cytotoxic Drugs (Chemotherapy)

Used in cancer treatment, but even small exposures can be harmful. Can cause DNA damage, cancer, infertility, and birth defects.

D. Laboratory Chemicals

-Xylene & Toluene – Used in pathology labs; can cause headaches, nausea, and liver damage. -Ethylene oxide – Used for sterilization; can cause lung irritation and cancer. -Mercury – Found in some old thermometers and lab equipment; exposure can cause nerve damage

E. Cleaning Agents & Latex Allergies

-Chlorine-based cleaners (e.g., bleach) can cause lung irritation. -Ammonia-based cleaners can lead to asthma or respiratory distress. -Latex gloves can cause severe allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.

3. Physical Hazards -Radiation exposure (X-rays, CT scans, radiotherapy). 4. Psychosocial Hazards

-Workplace violence (verbal or physical abuse from patients or relatives). -High-stress environment (due to long shifts, emergencies, and patient care responsibilities). -Emotional burnout (from dealing with suffering and death frequently). -Sleep deprivation (due to night shifts and irregular work hours).
