🧑🎓 Hugging Face Releases Free Beginner's Guide for Aspiring Geniuses on Training Neural Networks
The authors conducted over 4,000 experiments and outlined a 100-page guide on model training. It includes analyses of specific cases such as how DeepSeek trained its model for just $5 million, or why Mistral chose the MoE architecture. For better understanding, there are interactive graphs and widgets. Plus, there are two codebases: one for beginners — Picotron, and the other for serious projects — Nanotron.
While OpenAI keeps everything to itself, Hugging Face is teaching people to build powerful models on their own. Are you a genius? This is for you!

🚀 How can I test the product before launch to ensure it will succeed?
'If you have a house full of pipes and you know that some of them are broken and will leak, you could spend a lot of time checking each pipe to figure out whether it's broken or not... Or you could turn on the water. And you will know exactly what needs fixing when you do that. Basically, everyone who does startups just turns on the 'water', fixes what’s broken, and iterates. That’s how great companies are built. Take Apple: Wozniak was manually soldering the first Apple computers. Now they are assembling AirPods in a factory and so on. It seems like it’s the same company, but Wozniak's manual soldering is not scalable (whereas a factory in Taiwan is). But that very non-scalability allowed them to become who they are now. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good; try to find any way to get a product into people's hands that they genuinely want, and then solve all the problems that arise – and you’ll end up doing much better than if you tried to get everything right from the start.'From a conversation between Dalton and Michael, YC Partners @Skynet_Dreams

💵All the Money in the World
If we take everything away from everyone and divide it up among everyone, it amounts to $15,000 per person. That’s just enough for a used car or two years' worth of groceries without worrying about anything. However, it’s not much; you can’t really live it up 💁♀️
But! The author only counted money that is easily accessible to people: cash, checking accounts, and savings accounts. Term deposits and investments were not included. Yet, we know that all the money in the world is actually in investments; only the poor keep their money in cash or in the bank. So, there you go.
So, if you want to be rich, you need to be ready to be wealthy. You must know how and be able to manage your wealth wisely. Money does not thrive when it sits idly in large amounts of cash and bank accounts, where it simply dies from inflation. Think about it! 🍸

🆓 Free Assistant for Programmers from Google
Google has launched a beta version of Gemini Code Assist for individuals. Developers can integrate the AI into their codebase and interact with it via a chatbot, checking and enhancing their code.
The Code Assist for personal use has a contextual window of 128,000 tokens and allows for 180,000 code completions per month, which is 90 times more than the free tier of GitHub Copilot.
The head of Code Assist development stated that the goal of the free tier is to attract developers in the early stages of their careers, with the intention of later transitioning them to the paid version of the product.
I'm doubtful about its intelligence, but hey, it's free!

🆒 DeepSeek has resumed accepting payments for its API
Previously, the company suspended payment processing for access to the API for almost three weeks due to a large influx of users.
Those developing with OpenAI, pay attention in this direction too! 😮

🎂 In the 1940s, the company Pillsbury came up with a cake mix for quick preparation. The idea seemed brilliant: instead of mixing a bunch of ingredients, you just needed to add water. You save housewives time—housewives are happy 💡
But the product failed in the market 😔 It turned out that cakes were "hired" not just to eat, but to express love. More effort meant more love 💔 So the company removed the eggs from the mix—now people had to add them themselves. And sales began to rise.
What seems genius to you may not evoke any emotions in others. Ask for feedback, collect reviews and criticism, study customer behavior, and adapt to what they want. Keep your core idea and product intact.
