Levi Colwill ahead of Copenhagen [H] in the Conference League round of 16 second-leg:
👏 𝐎𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐳𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐚:
“I’ve enjoyed playing under him and I know everyone in the changing room does too. And over time you’ll see us getting better and better because of him. I’m always going to back the coach because I love how he wants us to play football. I love the ideas he has. I think he’s amazing.
“The ideas he brings in training to help us break teams down is all down to him.
“When we’re playing well and playing through other teams, of course, it’s partly down to us, but he sets us up correctly to look good on the pitch and score goals.
“I think in all the games where we have played amazingly this season, it has been down to him. Of course, we have amazing players who will help us pull off what he wants. But at the end of the day, it comes down to him.
“As a manager and as a person he is top and he pushes us every day. He’s serious at times and he can also be a joker, so he’s got a great balance. And you don’t want to get on the wrong side of him!”
🤝 𝐎𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠:
“I think the gaffer knows what sort of player I am and he puts me in a position where I can shine.
“I think those passes come naturally when I have top players like Enzo [Fernandez] and Cole [Palmer] – the ones that play in the pockets in front of me – who understand the space in front of them and make it easier for me to find them. I think it’s really down to them boys.”
🇩🇰 𝐎𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧:
“The players that Copenhagen have are really good players and as a team they perform to their best. Going up against them in the first leg, we were all mentally prepared knowing it would be a really tough game - like a Premier League game. Coming against them for this second leg, that’s our same mentality.
“I think speaking with the players we’ve taken every game seriously. I wouldn’t say any game is easy. Playing away, we won 2-1, but back at home we’ll have our fans with us, and of course, we’re going to want to score as many goals as possible.”

Enzo Maresca ahead of Copenhagen [H] in the Conference League Round of 16 second-leg:
🏥 𝐎𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬:
“For Cole [Palmer], Reece [James] and Christo [Nkunku], today has been first session [of the week]. Yesterday they were not here and two days ago we had a rest. Today they trained with us, took part in the session, and we will see tomorrow if we can use some of them.
“The only new one that is still injured is Malo Gusto. Noni [Madueke], Nico [Jackson] and the rest are still out are still out. The rest they can play.”
⏳ 𝐎𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐞𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐲:
“He could be back after the international break, Noni also. That’s good news.
“Now before the break we have two games, two efforts, tomorrow and Sunday, and then we have the international break and can recover energy, recover players, and then go for the last sprint.“
📈 𝐎𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐚:
“Romeo is much better. He isn’t in the Conference League squad unfortunately but for him it’s similar to Reece James in terms of the main target for us is to help him be fit until the end and help him play as many games as he can.”
🧤𝐎𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠:
“We will see. I haven’t decided yet and we still have 24 hours before the game tomorrow. As I’ve said before, we have two good goalkeepers in Rob [Sanchez] and Filip [Jorgensen], and we will make a decision.”
🇩🇰 𝐎𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧:
“I was surprised [by the first tie] because I watched many games. They were off the ball defending with a line of four and against us they were line of five. The reason why we were surprised was because we had to adapt. We will see tomorrow how they will be.
“Every game is a different game. Tomorrow, for sure, it will be a different game. We watched the game [in their weekend draw] to see how they behave but I watched many games before the first-leg and they changed completely.”
