Illy: What is love?
Sarah: Love is caring for someone deeply.
Love is showing respect.
Love is being loyal and not betraying someone.
Illy: I see what you're saying, but that's not really the definition of love. These are your needs and desires. Love is not a need. Love is a feeling!
It's a powerful emotion, like sadness, joy, or anger. Love comes and goes, sometimes it’s intense, other times it’s subtle. Love guides us to choose relationships that enhance our lives and bring us happiness.
But if we deal with love without awareness. It can turn into dependency, control, and neediness. We might cling to love for validation, using it to fill our own voids.
Sarah: But isn’t love supposed to make us feel safe and secure? Isn’t that why we seek it out?
Illy: Yes, love can bring safety and security, but it’s important to remember that these feelings should come from within first. Relying solely on another person for those feelings can lead to unhealthy attachments.
Sarah: So, you're saying love is more about how we feel and less about what we need from others?
Illy: Exactly. Love is an internal experience. It's about how we connect with ourselves and others on a deep emotional level. When we love mindfully, it enriches our lives without becoming a crutch or an obsession.
Sarah: That makes sense. It sounds like love is something we should nurture within ourselves first.
Illy: Absolutely. When we truly understand and nurture love within ourselves, our relationships with others become more fulfilling and balanced.
Sarah: But how do we distinguish between healthy love and attachment or neediness?
Illy: Healthy love allows for freedom and growth. It’s not about possession or control. It respects boundaries and encourages individuality. Attachment, on the other hand, often comes with a fear of loss and a desire to possess. It can be suffocating and limiting.
Sarah: So, if I love someone, I should let them be themselves, even if it means they might not always fulfill my expectations?
Illy: Exactly. True love is selfless and unconditional. It’s about supporting the other person's growth and happiness, even if it doesn't always align with our own desires. It’s a challenging balance, but it’s what makes love so profound and transformative.
Sarah: That’s a lot to think about. I guess I need to reflect more on my own feelings and motivations.
Illy: Reflection is key. Ask yourself: why do you need others to love you? Understanding your own needs and fears can help you cultivate healthier, more meaningful relationships.
So, what is love?

"Imagine being stung by a scorpion 🦂 and instead of trying to help yourself heal & recover from the sting, you are trying to catch the scorpion to find out the reason it stung you and prove to it that you didn't deserve that."

"When someone makes you feel guilty for your emotional response to their disrespectful behavior, and they refuse to take responsibility for triggering it, it may be a form of manipulation. It's a pattern that can make you feel unheard, unsure, and questioning your reactions."The first step to healing is to stop doubting your feelings. Recognize that your emotions are valid. Set boundaries to protect yourself. Remember, you deserve better and should be treated with respect and kindness 💗 #MentalHealth #Manipulation

Why do angels walk among us, while others dance with demons? Is it destiny's design, or the choices we dare to make? Why is it that sometimes, despite our desire to do something we know isn't right, we're held back by an inner force, while others do it with a smile?
Today, I was faced with a dilemma. I had something in my hands that could benefit me, but I couldn't bring myself to take it. Something held me back. Inside me, there are two conflicting voices: one urging me to pursue my desires, and the other urging restraint. You can probably guess who won. The voice of restraint was stronger. The feeling of guilt that followed is what they call conscience. It made me realize that there are two sides to every person, and one eventually takes control.
This led me to think that we aren't born as one singular entity; rather, we contain both good and evil within us, and our society influences which side prevails.
Some celebrate acts of cruelty, while others mourn silently for the victims. Isn't that strange? I believe society plays a significant role in motivating one aspect of our nature, whether good or evil.
In my opinion, we are born with both good and evil tendencies, but what if two children from the same household and society end up with different moral compasses? It becomes a matter of choice, complicating the issue further.
So, what do you think? Did we choose to be this way, or were we born like this?
